Kericho in the Center

Hello,

Kericho was a center of leaders coming from all over for the burial of our leader [and member of parliament], David Kimutai. Though these men are all very busy politicians they were able to attend the funeral and pay their respects: Raila Odinga, William Ruto, Najib Balala and Musalia Mudavadi all came. They praised Kofi Annan for his contribution to the [tentative] peace we have now in Kenya [while a mediated settlement between the leaders is on-going]. US Secretary of State, Condoleeza Rice was also expected to help out with a peace deal. You can likely read about US involvement in the various media.

God bless.
Jonah

Ed. note: Continue to pray for complete and perfect peace in Kenya as well as continuing local and international aid for Internally Displaced Persons and for those Kenyans hit hard by post-election violence. The outreach to the internally displaced, is in addition to the daily care and provisions for orphans, caretakers and other evangelistic outreaches. Here now is a slideshow of recent images taken of the displaced and for whom we ask prayer. You can click on the slideshow to read the captions and determine speed of viewing.
