For over a month now I have been coordinating efforts to save this little girl (on the right, in the pink) from losing more weight. She had been losing weight due to having wounds in her mouth. She could not eat, and she has lost most of her teeth. Some of her teeth had broken off and she had early dental issues. Her parents took so long to get her to hospital for one reason or another.I met this little one and her mother in one of the medical camps that we held at the slums. Her mother brought her and she was weak and emaciated. She had been unable to eat for days and had wounds all over her mouth. I took her to one hospital and helped her for about a month with her medical needs.

| This is the slum area. When you live in poverty with little water, food or sanitation, it is hard to stay healthy. |
This week was a success for me. The little girl (in the pink) is able to walk, run and smile. She is able to eat! This is miraculous.
It will take awhile yet for the child's blood count to strengthen before she can get surgery. She will also need special teeth to help her eat. The mama is so happy to have help for her little girl.
What we need: prayer and a possible donor for mouth reconstruction surgery and artificial teeth. The long brown elongated one's (teeth) will be removed. Also, food to keep her healthy...in terms of milk & school. That is a lot we know, but God can talk through other people. Pray for this girl. She seems so bright. She draws with very little teaching from any quarter.

ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments my readers. It is helping me so much as I minister here. Many blessings!
ReplyDeleteDear Jonah,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that the little girl is doing better, I pray right now,
Oh my precious Father, we lift this little girl up to you. Father would you wrap your tender arms around her and fill her with your love. Would you give to people around the world your heart towards this little girl, and others like her. I pray that you would move hearts from all over to stretch out their hands in prayer, and their money and make it possible for this little girl to have a donor, school, food and teeth.
Father I ask that you encourage Jonah in all that he is doing. I pray that you will give him strength and wisdom. Bless him and those who are helping a thousand fold. Protect him from all harm and danger. Fill him to over flowing with your love. May he see through your eyes, hear through your ears and touch through your hands. Thank-you Father, for Jonah. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
This reminds me of a story, where a boy on a beach was throwing star fish back into the water. The star fish were washed upon the shore. The whole shore line was filled with them. This man passed and told the boy, why are you wasting your time with this, there are so many of them, you can't help them all. The boy picks up a starfish, then responds, yes sir, but it makes a difference to this one!
Jonah, you may not be able to help everyone, and it may seem like an over whelming ocean, but for everyone that you are able to help, it makes a BIG difference! Thank-you for your heart, and your actions. May you be encouraged my brother. Warmly Brenda
Jonah and hello to all the other people there ... I got this side of Joyful / Penny and can now see how important it is to help organize for you.
ReplyDeleteI'm here I also try to find any people who want to donate, I can call attention to your plight and on your side.
I wish you much strength and it is wonderful when there are people who care about it.
In friendly, with greetings from Germany by Geli.
