Edwin Goes to Tenwek

The travel to Tenwek with Edwin for further testing went okay. Though all the medical testing and analysis took almost the whole day. You can read the first part of Edwin's story here.

Nonetheless the good thing is that tomorrow we travel to Nairobi for his treatment.
Pray that all that is needed to facilitate the travels are available and the money for the doctor there as well.

Otherwise we are pleased with the attention the Hospital accorded us.

Retreat at Tenwek

Hi,

My work place had a retreat trip to Tenwek this week. It was an awesome time to relax and refocus on the new year.

We had lots of teachings on how to live a life that is fulfilling. We watched a movie which I've forgotten the name of but it was of a woman name Grace, who is a champion of prison ministries in the USA.

The place where we stayed is called Green House. It has wonderful amenities and we loved staying there. The food was good, and the river is not far for sightseeing. Tenwek generates electricity from this big, big river.

We had a great time together; the young, the middle age and the not so young colleagues. Enjoy the pictures.

God Bless

Meeting in Tenwek

This week has been a bit busy. We attended a meeting in Tenwek, that was meant to encourage us and teach us about the new things that are coming up, things like the challenges for the church in the coming years. We realize that the church as whole is facing grave challenges in these last days.

We heard of the church in China & India and the weak church growth in Europe. We felt that our prayers are very much needed in the Arab world too. Overall, we felt this was a great conference of learning about the challenges of the world church & a time to encourage one another and be encouraged.

Continue to pray for Africa too as the church here has really been weakened by teachings that are not 'of the Lord' and we really need prayer support to overcome this. We thank you for your prayers.
