Short Update on Missions

Hello,

Edwin and I will be going to Nairobi in about two days for further cancer treatment.  Last Friday we went for some check up and tests.

At the same please pray for me, and for Kipngeno as we are both in school. You might remember Kipngeno is studying so he can become a doctor.

He still needs a lot of financial support.  He needs the balance of lodging costs and tuition for this semester which is about $500 US dollars. We paid his room for two months and the school has been very caring for him.

Changing Lives

We continually monitor the work of this lady--Mama Linet since giving her start up funds to get a small business going. She is the one with the little girl, Linet; the one with a cleft palate.

Mama Linet's business is booming (according to her).  She has rented one more room so she can use one for her business of selling charcoal and omena (small fish).  She also sells cabbages to her friends and neighbors.  I'm so glad she has been able to pay fees for her kids who are going to primary school.

With the little help we've given her, I am seeing a big sign of moving forward and lifting herself and her family out of poverty through small business.

Please continue to pray for her.

At the same time, continue to pray for the medical student Kipngeno.  Kenya desperately needs young men and women who will study and train to become doctors.  Kipngeno went back to school today with only 10% of all the fees he needs.  We are trusting God for a breakthrough for him.

Kipnegeno Goes to School

Hello prayer partners,

Kipngeno will be going to school in January, 2011 and we are so happy for him.

He will be studying pharmacy.

I wrote about him in an earlier post and you can read that by searching this blog if you like using "Kipngeno".

He needs a lot of  funds to start school in two months time and we are trying to gather what is needed.  Please continue to pray for him.  Contact me if you can help Kipngeno.
