Church in Marigat

Hello,

As you might have known, I am presently here in Marigat, Kenya, drilling a well for the community of Ilchamus.

Today is Sunday and we are not drilling so I went into Marigat town to rest a bit. In the morning I had a hard time locating where to worship.

First I found an Anglican Church.  It seems services hadn't started.  The other churches I found were the Catholic Church and the Full Gospel Church. Most of these churches had not started services as of 9 a.m.  I alerted my taxi man (motorbike taxi) to take me to another church  in town when I realized I had to wait longer for services to start.

I later found a good church to attend  in Marigat Town.  It is called the Africa Inland Church.  I loved the worship and the service in general.

In other news , I  have bought myself some crocs.  This will help me here a lot as it is very hot.  Sometimes it is close to 40 degrees celsius.

I love this place though and the water that will come soon.  You can read more about the water project  herehere and  here.

God bless,

The Gift of Water, Part 3

Hello,

Drilling is ongoing here in Marigat, Kenya.

Please continue to pray for favour in the eyes of God so that we can get this water.

In the pictures you can see that people and animals really need water here.

Ostriches foraging.
Traditional village huts.
Even goats need to eat and drink.
A woman carries home her water in big yellow buckets. This is a common sight here in Kenya.
A motorbike is a good mode of transportation here in Kenya especially in the hilly parts of the country where it is harder to ride a bicycle.
A  lunch of chapati and tea.

I've been here in Marigat for a few days now helping to oversee the water project. I can't wait for water to be located and the well to be completed so that the people of Marigat can at last be blessed by the gift of clean water. I will be here for a few days more to see that this water project is a success, Also pray for me as I had some little problem with my skin in the heat today though I seem to be okay now.

Marigat Well

Hello,

These are the few pictures of well drilling that is ongoing here in Marigat, Kenya.

I will be sending more pictures when I get a better internet
connection that is able to upload more pictures at once.

Nonetheless it has been a great few days that we had here so far.

In the pictures you can see that we had to go through mud and our lorries could not pass. In the end it had to pulled by another lorry.

Altogether we will have 3 big lorries and 1 land rover for the work of digging the well.

Have a great day.

TEA Confernce in Limuru, Kenya

Hello,

I am attending a TEA conference here in Limuru, Kenya at St. Paul's University.

We are currently learning various dimensions of theologies and today i was fortunate to learn a few things.

That is

everyone has a theology or belief in something

we divided these into 2:

formal - through - ur church/school, university
informal- handed over thru' generations.

This was one of the greatest lessons for me and I did appreciate so much this learning and scope.

Bishop Ronoh Laid to Rest

Hello

The Bishop of our church was buried today. We will miss him a lot. Thank God that so many people came to comfort us.

We will surely get to see him again some day.

His wife was happy to say that when they got married, they no house and no kids. But now when they look back, they are so happy for the accomplishments.

God is truly amazing.

A Great Man Bishop Ronoh is Laid to Rest

Hello,

What a sad day it was for us today.

'Mass' was held for our late bishop, Dr. Ronoh.

Now we are sure that he indeed has died. With funeral services the impact is settling in on us.

His family has been a great inspiration to us.
What a great life he lived.
